I'd disagree about the certainty of the oil leak-- mine's an '87 also, with almost 11K miles (2K of those are mine), and it's yet to leak a drop in the two months I've had it. But I have heard about many of them leaking some.
And I'll definitely agree about the seat. Gotta do something about mine eventually.
